American 1524 mm gauge locomotive deliveries

According to Vitali Rakov YeM 3621-3634 were not delivered to Soviet Union,but American sources state that USATC numbers 4878 Ea 2378 ( Baldwin 70695 1944 ) and USATC numbers 5908,5938,5940-5942, 6734 and 10060-10086 were not delivered and stayed in United States. Thus the VR class Tr2 locomotives were originally 20 of these USATC numbers.

1959-1961 60 locomotives were regauged at Ulan Ude Works to 1067 mm gauge and sent to Sahalin ( Sakhalin ) [ Karafuto ] for service in Sahalin Railways.
Some of these locomotives were also in Finland 1947-1955 at Soviet military base in Porkkala lease area,west of Helsinki.Occassionally also hauled Helsinki-Turku-Helsinki passenger trains through the lease area " World Longest Railway Tunnel " between Kauklahti and TДhtelД. ( The " world longest railway tunnel " 40.8 km because the all windows were covered in train by metal plates so that you could not see out.There were even Russian guards in each end of passenger coach to watch than nobody used toilets. Later it have become clear that they were afraid of propaganda leaflets which could have been thown to area via toilet spreaded by " Imperialist agents ".)
